FACT Coalition Awarded Smith Bagley Memorial Grant
Award Recognizes FACT Awareness Raising on
Corporate Tax Avoidance and Transparency

Washington, DC – In recognition of its efforts on corporate issues, the Financial Accountability and Corporate Transparency (FACT) Coalition was awarded the Arca Foundation’s Smith Bagley Memorial Grant.

The Smith Bagley Memorial Grant celebrates one Arca Foundation grantee each year that “embodies the passion, spirit and creativity of Smith,” according to the award letter. FACT, as a project of Tax Justice Network USA was given the award because FACT has “…effectively employed the bold, innovative, and courageous strategies essential for inspiring action and driving change.”

“We are humbled to receive this award from the Arca Foundation,” said FACT Executive Director Nicole Tichon. “This inspires us to re-double our efforts as we work to make the financial system more fair and more transparent.”

“Because of the FACT Coalition, corporate tax avoidance and tax havens are a part of the national conversation,” said Anna Lefer Kuhn, Executive Director of the Arca Fondation. “We are proud to support such vital work.”

The Arca Foundation’s Smith Bagley Memorial Grant started in 2010 and remembers philanthropist Smith Bagley who worked tirelessly to promote the common good.
