Senator Kevin Cramer
400 Russel Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Cramer,

My name is Joseph Johnson, and I am the National Trustee for the great state of North Dakota.  I am writing to offer my support for S. 2563, the “ILLICIT CASH Act” and the collection of beneficial ownership. As you know law enforcement is left in the dark when trying to investigate these anonymous shell companies, the same shell companies that are hurting North Dakota by continuing to support the opioid crisis and the sex trafficking problem that plagues our state.

Please Senator Cramer support the ILLICIT CASH Act and become a sponsor of this legislation.  North Dakota, including our tribal communities, needs this tool to stop some of the most dangerous criminal in our State.

I am also attaching the current list of Senate and House bills that are greatest importance to the Fraternal Order of Police as well as the legislation in which we oppose.   The National Fraternal Order of Police represents over 350,000 members nationwide and has over 1100 members across North Dakota.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 701-388-7927 or email at jpjohnson172@gmail.com.

Respectfully,

Joseph P. Johnson
National Trustee
North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police
