Thomas Georges
Policy and Communications Officer
Thomas Georges is FACT’s Policy and Communications Officer, in which capacity he supports the Coalition’s internal and external communications efforts, policy advocacy goals, and logistical needs.
A communications and advocacy professional with a passion for social and economic justice, Georges has more than half a decade of experience working with both governmental and private stakeholders on key international and domestic initiatives. From 2018 to 2021 Georges held a number of positions with the U.S.-based non-profit Americans for a Free Syria, where he advocated on issues including responsible and effective sanctions enforcement, increased U.S. funding to civil society groups, and international diplomatic efforts towards bringing a just end to the Syrian conflict. Prior to his time with AFS, Georges worked as an intern at the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Public Affairs, and as a writer and media relations specialist at Hamilton College’s Office of Communications and Development. Georges graduated from Hamilton College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
