Zorka Milin
Co-Director
Zorka Milin is Co-Director of the FACT Coalition, an accomplished tax lawyer and advocate with experience spanning non-profit, academia, and the private sector. She has testified in tax hearings in the U.S. Senate and House and spoken before the European Parliament. She was profiled in Forbes and is also a fellow with the Roosevelt Institute.
In her previous role as FACT’s policy director, she led the coalition’s work on international tax policy and other transparency priorities. Before joining FACT, she served as senior advisor at investigative watchdog Global Witness, focusing on improving financial transparency and accountability in the extraction of natural resources. She has also taught at Georgetown and Yale Universities, and practiced international tax law for more than six years with two leading global law firms.
She has been interviewed and quoted on tax, anti-corruption, transparency, and energy policy in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, New Yorker, BBC World Service, NPR, CNBC, Politico, Financial Times, Guardian, Bloomberg, Reuters, Associated Press, Agence France Press, Tax Notes, and more.
Originally from Serbia, she holds a M.A. in international relations from Yale University, as well as a J.D. and LL.M. in international and comparative law from Cornell Law School. She also holds a B.A. in mathematics from Grinnell College.
